How to donate your AIR MILES

To Whom it may concern,

 My name is Patrice Chartrand. I am twenty years old and have been fencing since the age of 13. On the 1^st of February I am moving to Winnipeg Manitoba to train with Mr. Henry Sassine whom is a well-known national trainer. This move is going to be very costly yet I am devoted to the sport and believe that representing my country one-day is worth the effort.

This year I won the Gold Metal as a junior at the Canadian Championship in Edmonton and also took home the bronze in senior.

I am pursuing a dream, which is to participate in the 2004 Olympics. In order to continue my training and to get on the Canadian fencing team, I am obliged to participate in many competitions. This means that I am constantly traveling all over the world.

At this point I receive help from my parents and work between competitions, yet the budget for my activities amount to so much that I am reaching out to corporations and people like you who could in anyway give us a helping hand.

There are many ways to help.

For example:

1-I have contacted the Air miles Program who referred me to their web page. To my surprise I discovered that business collectors may book flights for any given Person. 

If you choose to donate any Air-Miles to my account it would help me participate in the events that are going to cost me at least 10,000$ this year. 

My parents take care of my room and Board in Winnipeg, I pay for my training and personnel expenses and part of the traveling expenses but as my career is advancing the trips are costing more and more.

2-Any given person can donate money in my trust fund that is managed by the Canadian Fencing Federation. For any amount above 20$, you will promptly receive a tax-deductible receipt. The Check must be addressed to the Canadian Fencing Federation so; you can be assured that the amount is put to good use. The check can be sent to my home at 23 Baccarat, Lorraine, Quebec, and J6Z 3B3. We then log the donation and forward the check asking them to deposit it in my account.

3-Last and not least, If you have a business in Winnipeg, I am looking for work and would like to meet with any potential employer.

Please visit my site and take a moment to read the letter of reference from the Fencing Federation. If I receive enough help through air miles and donations, I will be able to return to school instead of working full time to pay for my travels.
